Members of the ODSBA can place an advert by e-mailing registrations@oxforddownsheep.org.uk or phoning (01698) 824839 (evenings).

All stock must be earmarked as per ODSBA rules and must be registered or eligible for registration.

Breeders must only offer quality breeding stock that is correct and has good breed type.

Adverts will be removed by default after 3 months. Breeders should notify us if stock is sold before then.
Buyers

Potential pedigree buyers must ensure that the stock are individually ear marked.

Pedigree certificates should be available from the seller for registered stock.

For eligible stock, the buyer must ensure that the breeder has full pedigree details available.

It is the responsibility of buyers to ensure that stock is sound and of a quality suitable for breeding.

I have for sale a selection of 12 quality shearling ewes born February and March 2023 mostly sired by Langrigg Rory. Good length and shape, genuinely grass fed and outwintered. They have grown on well even in this difficult wet winter. Correct in mouth, legs, feet, wool. Electric fence trained. Monitored for parasites and only treated when necessary. Signet recorded.
Would make an excellent starter flock. Unrelated ram lamb may be available.

Dispersal of the prizewinning New House Flock No 1295
The flock was established in 2014 with ewes and a ram from the Barley Park Flock No 1144. Since then ewes have been added from Longfriday and Applewick.
Current stock rams are Applewick Ideal (19038) and Weeton Erwin (19203).
Of the 10 ewes, 5 are running with 7 lambs at foot, 2 have still to lamb, and 3 are not in-lamb.
This is a unique opportunity to acquire a top prizewinning flock of Oxford Down ewes and two quality proven stock rams.
The flock has consistently done well in both show ring and sale ring, winning breed championships and achieving good prices for rams and females.
The flock produced the top-priced sheep at the 2023 Worcester Show & Sale, a 1200gns shearling ram whose sire and dam are included in the dispersal.

Comments: Flock Dispersal – Mill Close Flock No 1391 Excellent nucleus flock for sale – a chance to get a good start in Oxford Downs. Females bred in the Caston and Aceman flocks.
The rams are registered as Highcliffe Loki (19127) and Thistledown Kiwi (19220). The females all ran with unrelated rams in the autumn. They are unscanned but due to lamb middle of March.
All progeny will be eligible for registration. Preference would be to sell the whole flock together as one lot.
